Authentic

“Authentic” is a popular buzzword these days. In the age of social media, people are always asking how to be more genuine and relatable.
Authenticity is an important leadership quality, since people are more willing to follow an open and trustworthy individual.
If they aren’t already, nonprofit Executive Directors, fundraisers, and other individuals in nonprofit leadership positions should all be asking themselves how they can be more authentic. How they can relate with both the organization’s staff members and the individuals that they serve.
Especially during the holidays, when we all get caught up in our own busy schedules, leaders should be intentional with their time and briefly connect with individuals across their organizations. In the midst of the holidays, even a moment of genuine human connection between a team leader and team members can resonate deeply.
