Spring Cleaning
Now that it’s officially Spring, many of us are probably thinking about #springcleaning around the house. But what about your data? Do you have protocols in place to keep your donor database clean and accurate? How are you updating addresses, both physical and email? How are these changes being communicated to your remote staff? Are you tracking social profiles? What about keeping track of changing phone numbers, as those cutting the cord continues to grow? Performing regular data cleanup is a necessary part of database maintenance. You can utilize services to provide National Change of Address updates, data appends to clean out forfeited land lines and/or add cell phone numbers and email addresses. You could also make a point of providing ways for donors to update their contact information annually. And having annual Spring Cleaning habits for your data isn’t a bad idea either. #TuesdayTips
